Montería Police intensify operations against illegal racing and crime

The Metropolitan Police of Montería, in coordination with the municipal Transit Secretariat, has launched intensified control operations in the city's second ring road to combat illegal motorcycle racing. Authorities identified this sector as a frequent site for clandestine races, which pose significant risks to motorists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.

In addition to traffic enforcement, police have expanded operations to the Rancho Grande sector. Officers from the Margen Izquierda Police Station have established checkpoints to conduct person searches and background checks, aiming to prevent crime and improve community coexistence.

Separately, the National Police also provided security presence during a family sports and recreational event on Avenida Primera to ensure public safety and promote healthy community integration.
