Monteriggioni Archaeological Museum ranks 15th in Tuscany

The MaM – Museo archeologico di Monteriggioni has achieved 15th place out of 121 institutions in the regional merit rankings for museums and ecomuseums in Tuscany. With a score of 74 points, the museum rose two positions in the standings.

Opened only three years ago with limited initial resources, the museum has established itself alongside much larger and more established cultural institutions. The museum focuses on the long-term history of the Monteriggioni territory, covering ancient settlements, medieval transformations, and the development of the contemporary landscape. Its programming includes exhibitions, conferences, and public events aimed at community engagement and scientific rigor.
