Monteroni d’Arbia honors Miriam Oliviero with new youth projects

The community of Monteroni d’Arbia gathered on Saturday, August 22, to honor the memory of Miriam Oliviero, a 24-year-old who passed away in late 2025. The event served to support her family and advance the “La Fenice di Miriam” project, an initiative born from her loss to support local youth.

Named after a phoenix tattoo worn by Oliviero, the project aims to transform grief into a symbol of rebirth and hope. The initiative focuses on providing children and young people with spaces for social interaction, talent discovery, and personal growth. The Margherita Moriondo Municipal Library serves as the central hub for these activities.

Following a commemorative ceremony at the municipal cemetery, organizers announced the expansion of the program. New educational and social workshops, coordinated in collaboration with the Solidarietà Quadrifoglio cooperative and various local associations, are scheduled to launch in the coming weeks and continue through the autumn.
