Monterrey distributes 2,500 Regia Plus cards to vulnerable women

Authorities in Monterrey have distributed more than 2,500 Regia Plus cards to women living in vulnerable situations. The municipal program, led by Mayor Adrián de la Garza and DIF Monterrey President Gaby Oyervides, provides a bimonthly economic support of 2,000 pesos to female heads of household between the ages of 18 and 62.

The funds are intended to cover essential needs such as food, medicine, and household expenses. Beyond direct financial aid, the initiative includes tools for economic development, such as self-employment workshops, microcredits, scholarships, and psychological and legal assistance.

Mayor de la Garza noted that women interested in starting businesses can access interest-free loans through the program to help foster entrepreneurship and financial autonomy.
