Monterrey honors municipal workers and retired public servants

The Monterrey government has held ceremonies to recognize the long-term service and dedication of municipal workers. In one event, Mayor Adrián de la Garza honored 255 retired and pensioned public servants. This group included 94 retirees and 161 workers receiving pensions due to advanced age, many of whom had dedicated between 20 and 35 years to the city's development.

Additionally, the Secretariat of Public Services celebrated Street Sweeper Day, honoring approximately 300 workers for their commitment to city cleanliness. Officials, including Secretary of Administration Marcelo Segovia and Secretary of Public Services Hugo Salinas, highlighted the staff's essential role in maintaining the city's infrastructure, including the management of over 5,500 storm drains and 155 kilometers of the municipal drainage network. The recognition also noted the workers' efforts during the 2026 World Cup period.
