Monterrey inaugurates three renovated DIF Centers

The Monterrey municipal government has inaugurated three renovated DIF Centers in the western part of the city: San Martín, Tierra y Libertad, and INDECO Naranjo. These improvements are part of the ‘Espacios DIFerentes’ program, a strategy aimed at rehabilitating community spaces to expand social services and specialized care for local families.

The San Martín Center underwent a comprehensive renovation, including the addition of a kitchen, bathrooms, a boxing and training room, a digital classroom, a multipurpose room, and a geriatric area. It also received specialized equipment for physical disability therapies. The Tierra y Libertad Center now features a kitchen and new training and multipurpose rooms, while the INDECO Naranjo center saw renovations to its senior citizen area, a new creative room, and updated kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Mayor Adrián de la Garza and DIF Monterrey President Gaby Oyervides reported that over 70 percent of the spaces planned under this strategy have already been rehabilitated. The centers will provide psychological care, workshops, and various activities designed to promote community integration and personal development.
