Monterrey police arrest man for alleged murder of parents

Authorities in Monterrey, Nuevo León, have arrested 21-year-old Jesucristo “N” in connection with the alleged murder of his parents and the shooting of his sister. The incident occurred in the Ferrocarrilera neighborhood, where the victims, identified as 60-year-old José Manuel and 58-year-old María, reportedly sustained gunshot wounds to their faces.

Following the attack, the suspect fled in a gray RAM 700 Bighorn. He was later located in the Villa Cumbres neighborhood while allegedly attempting to steal a gray Mazda. During the attempted robbery, the suspect reportedly attacked a 25-year-old man with mechanic's pliers. Witnesses noted that the suspect was carrying a Bible during the encounter.

The suspect was apprehended by local police after the victim's father intervened and called for assistance. Authorities noted that the individual has a prior criminal record for attacking public servants and had recently been released from a penitentiary. He has been transferred to the Monterrey Police facilities and remains at the disposal of the Public Ministry for further investigation.
