Jewel heist at Santa Cruz pawnshop leaves over 200,000 Bs stolen

A criminal gang entered a pawnshop in the La Charca area of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, by climbing through the roof. Surveillance footage recorded one suspect covering his face with a hood while the other waited on a motorcycle for the getaway. The thieves stole gold and silver jewelry estimated at more than 200,000 Bolivian bolivianos, as well as high‑end laptops and smartphones. The shop owner, Ingrid Arancibia, handed the video evidence to police, which are now investigating the robbery and seeking to identify the perpetrators.
