Monterrey to expand mediation centers with judicial support

The Monterrey government is moving to expand and strengthen its municipal public mediation centers through a collaboration agreement with the Judiciary of the State of Nuevo León. The proposal was unanimously approved by the City Council to facilitate alternative dispute resolution mechanisms between private parties, aiming to promote peace and prevent crime.

Currently, Monterrey operates one mediation center certified by the Judiciary and employs eight mediators recognized by the federal government. The agreement will establish coordination bases between the municipality and the state judiciary to implement and promote these legal mechanisms.
