Montes Claros announces new municipal hospital project
The City Hall of Montes Claros has presented the architectural project for a new municipal hospital. The facility is designed to expand free healthcare services provided through the Unified Health System (SUS) and alleviate pressure on the city's existing hospital network.
The project includes 242 beds, 10 surgical blocks, and an estimated built area between 20,000 and 25,000 square meters. The total investment is estimated at approximately R$ 220 million. Funding is expected to come primarily from the Municipal Treasury, with the possibility of additional financing through the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).
