Montes Claros firefighters rescue cow after five-meter fall

Firefighters in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, rescued a cow that fell approximately five meters into a residential corridor in the Vila Atlântica neighborhood. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, after residents reported the animal was trapped in a backyard area bordering a pasture.

The cow, which had recently given birth, suffered back injuries and various abrasions but showed no apparent signs of fractures. Two teams from the Military Firefighters Corps (CBMMG) used animal rescue techniques to safely move the animal to a secure location. The property owner was provided with guidance on livestock care.
