Montese Murder Investigation Focuses on DNA Evidence in Daouda Sangarè Case

Carabinieri from the Ris of Parma have resumed investigations at the underground floor of a building on via Righi in Montese, where 31‑year‑old Daouda Sangarè was found dead on Sunday. The new search is aimed at collecting fingerprints, biological traces and possible DNA to clarify the circumstances of his death. An autopsy will be performed once forensic experts are appointed. No arrests have been made so far.

According to the investigation, Sangarè had attended a village party the night before and was escorted home by an acquaintance. A neighbor reported hearing a scream around 5:30 a.m., but the alarm was only raised at 8 a.m. after the victim’s wife was seen crying on the landing. The cause of death was a deep abdominal wound inflicted by a cutting weapon.
