Montesilvano inaugurates “Meraviglia” public art installation

The municipality of Montesilvano has inaugurated a new public art installation titled “Meraviglia” at its railway station. Created by artist and art history professor Graziano Fabrizi, the work was donated to the community through a collaboration between the Municipality of Montesilvano, Fotocard Group Srl, and the artist.

“Meraviglia” serves as the second chapter of Fabrizi's permanent project, “I Diritti dell’Infanzia” (The Rights of Childhood). The project uses contemporary art to communicate the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescent. This installation follows the 2019 work “IMMI,” which focused on the right to life and migration.

The artwork depicts a child in a protective gesture, surrounded by a garden where each flower represents a child. The installation aims to transform urban transit spaces into areas for reflection on human rights, legality, and community responsibility.
