Italian regions announce diverse social and community funding initiatives
Various Italian regional governments and national departments have announced new funding initiatives targeting social welfare, education, and community development.
In Puglia, €3.75 million is allocated to integrate Rom, Sinti, and Caminanti communities through housing and education, while an additional €800,000 will support regional sporting events. Furthermore, €25 million is designated for the Canale Reale water management project.
In Abruzzo, €660,000 is available for third-sector organizations to support local social cohesion. In Lazio, €47.5 million has been earmarked for the ‘Dopo di noi’ program and family homes to assist people with disabilities. In Piemonte, €293,437 is being provided to centers for men who are perpetrators or potential perpetrators of gender violence.
At the national level, the Department for Family Policies is offering €50 million for educational and social projects in small municipalities with fewer than 5,000 residents. Additionally, the Campania region has opened a selection process for a new General Director for Città della Scienza.
