Montevideo prepares for 2026 CONMEBOL Libertadores Final

CONMEBOL conducted a technical visit to Montevideo, Uruguay, from August 25 to 27 to monitor preparations for the 2026 CONMEBOL Libertadores Final, scheduled for November 28.

The inspection included the Estadio Centenario, the primary venue for the continental final, where officials evaluated pitch conditions and coordinated with suppliers. The visit also covered logistics for the Fan Zone, hotel accommodations, and training facilities, including sites such as Montevideo City Torque and Centro Deportivo de Albión.

Coordination meetings were held with the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF), local authorities, sponsors, and security teams to ensure operational readiness and integrated safety planning for the event.
