Montgomery County, MD & Pulaski County, VA announce Independence Day closures

Montgomery County (MD) confirmed that most county offices, courts, the motor vehicle administration and libraries will be closed on Friday, July 3, with many services operating on a Saturday schedule through July 4. Transit agencies such as Ride On and WMATA will run reduced Saturday timetables, and public parking will be free.

Pulaski County (VA) issued similar holiday notices, closing Dublin Town offices on July 3 and July 6. The county also promoted a patriotic‑decorating contest for residents, with cash prizes, and listed community events such as Vacation Bible School and a used‑book sale throughout early July.
