Montgomery to host ‘Night of Poe’ theatrical event in November

The Capri Theater in Montgomery, Alabama, will host ‘A Night of Poe’ during the first weekend of November. The event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7, with three 90-minute shows occurring each night at 6, 8, and 10 p.m.

The presentation is described as an immersive theatrical experience combining live music, storytelling, and themed cocktails. The performance aims to bring the mystery and macabre tales of American writer Edgar Allan Poe to life through actors and atmospheric soundscapes. Due to the inclusion of cocktails, attendees must be at least 21 years old.

The Capri Theater, located in the historic Cloverdale district, was established in 1941 and remains the longest continually operating movie theater in Alabama.
