Monti Dauni goldsmithing art to be showcased at the Italian Senate

The goldsmithing art of Monti Dauni and Gargano will be showcased at the Italian Senate during a press conference titled ‘Gioielli della Daunia-Intrecci di storia’ on October 1. Held in the ‘Caduti di Nassirya’ hall, the event aims to highlight the historical and cultural significance of these ancient crafts, which connect the inland Daunia areas to the Gargano coast via ancient transhumance routes.

The initiative, organized by Senator Annamaria Fallucchi, will feature the Carlantino Archaeological Museum. Curator and architect Maria Maggio will participate, alongside Daniela Cafano, the municipal councilor for Culture and Tourism for Carlantino. Local officials emphasized that the event serves to promote regional identity and use cultural heritage as a driver for social and reputational rebirth for the community.
