Montorfano to Meda: 38th ME-MO hike scheduled for October 2026

The 38th edition of the historic ME-MO hike is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026. This year, the event utilizes a “reverse” format, starting in Montorfano and concluding in Meda.

The approximately 25-kilometer excursion traverses the Brughiera region, connecting the Milanese area to the Comasco territories and Swiss parklands. Organized by CAI Meda, S.E.M. Meda, and the Groane-Brughiera Regional Park Committee, the walk features an estimated duration of six hours and a total elevation gain of 290 meters.

Participants will gather in Piazza Roma, Montorfano, at 7:30 AM for an 8:00 AM departure. A shuttle service from Meda will be available via reservation. The route includes a refreshment point at Cascina Varenna, and the event will conclude at Villa Antona Traversi in Meda with a traditional lunch.
