Montréal hosts creative festivals for fashion, art, and design

Montréal recently hosted the 26th edition of the Festival M. A. D. (Mode, Arts, Divertissement) from August 20 to 23. The event featured a record number of fashion shows by local designers, including Delcyna, MAEB, ONE EYE SEES, and Scarlett James. The festival also included musical performances and a pop-up space showcasing various Quebec and Canadian brands, such as the fragrance house Dans un Jardin.

Additionally, the Semaine Design de Montréal has been announced for its second edition, scheduled to take place from May 27 to June 4, 2027. Organized by Archi-Design QC and imagined by Index-Design, the event follows a successful debut in 2026 that drew over 20,000 visitors. The 2027 program aims to expand on the previous edition's success, featuring the professional Journées Index-Design for architects and designers alongside free public programming.
