Montreal Alouettes announce lineup changes for regular-season finale
The Montreal Alouettes will face the Toronto Argonauts in their regular-season finale this Friday at BMO Field. Head coach Jason Maas has opted to rest key offensive stars, including quarterback Davis Alexander and wide receivers Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead, to ensure they are prepared for the playoffs.
Dustin Crum will make his second consecutive start at quarterback. On the offensive line, Sage Doxtater will replace Pier-Olivier Lestage, and Reuben Fatheree II will step in for Des Holmes, who is sidelined with a hand injury. Tight end Regis Cibasu returns from injury, while Marco Dubois moves to the reserve roster.
Defensively, Lorenzo Burns returns at boundary cornerback, and Micah Awe is back on the roster following an injury stint. On special teams, veteran Lewis Ward has been recalled to replace kicker Jose Maltos Diaz, who recently underwent arm surgery. The Alouettes enter the game with a 13-4 record and have already secured a direct berth in the Eastern Final.
