Montreal Canadiens training camp NHL pre-season hockey roster

The Montreal Canadiens have announced a 57-player roster for their 2026-27 training camp. The group consists of 31 forwards, 19 defensemen, and seven goaltenders. Of these players, 43 hold NHL contracts, while 14 are participating with AHL contracts.

Training camp is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 16, at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard with medical examinations, followed by on-ice sessions. The team will play four pre-season games, including a home-and-home series against the Toronto Maple Leafs on September 19. The regular season is set to commence on September 29 against the Maple Leafs.

Head coach Martin St-Louis will lead the camp alongside his coaching staff. The camp will also involve the coaching group from the Laval Rocket, led by head coach Daniel Jacob.
