Montreal Canadiens assign Owen Beck and David Reinbacher to Laval

The Montreal Canadiens have assigned forward Owen Beck and defenseman David Reinbacher to their AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket. The move comes ahead of a four-game road trip for the Canadiens starting Friday in Chicago.

Beck had recently been recalled to Montreal to provide depth following injuries to Ivan Demidov, Oliver Kapanen, and Florian Xhekaj. While Kapanen has returned, Beck remained on the roster as a healthy scratch for the team's most recent games. Reinbacher, who recently made his third NHL appearance during a victory over Buffalo, is also moving to the minors.

Both players are expected to participate in Laval's upcoming game against Syracuse. The assignment may be temporary, as the players will be recall-eligible once they suit up for the Rocket, potentially providing the Canadiens with extra skaters for their upcoming road trip.
