Montreal Olympic Park to host free 'Feu sacré' concert for 50th Olympic anniversary
A free public spectacle titled “Feu sacré” will take place on Saturday, 1 August 2026 at the Esplanade Pie‑IX of the Montreal Olympic Park. The event, part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Summer Games, will run from a 17:00 site opening to a 21:00 start of the performance.
Produced by Multicolore with artistic direction from Hallucination Collective and musical direction by Alex McMahon, the program features performances by Robert Charlebois, Ariane Moffatt, Loud, Dubmatique, Les 7 Doigts de la Main and highlights Olympic legacy figures such as Nadia Comăneci. Hosted by Pierre Houde and Maude Lanteigne, the show follows three themes – memory, heritage and future – and will incorporate archival images and live arts to revisit the spirit of the 1976 Games.
The free concert aims to bring together generations of Montrealers, celebrating the lasting cultural and sporting impact of the Olympic legacy on the city and the province of Québec.
