Montreal region hosts seasonal flower and light festivals

Montreal and its surrounding regions are hosting seasonal cultural and nature-based events. In the Monterégie region, the farm La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac is launching its ‘Sunflowers in Bloom’ event starting August 20. The farm features a field containing more than 250,000 sunflowers, along with photo stations and pick-your-own options for sunflowers and strawberries.

In the city, the Montreal Botanical Garden is hosting the 14th edition of its ‘Gardens of Light’ festival from September 3 to November 1, 2026. The event utilizes light projections and artistic installations across three cultural gardens. This year includes a new experience at the Jardin des Premières-Nations, titled ‘Résonance,’ which was co-designed by several artists, including Anne Lagacé, Soleil Launière, and Gonzalo Soldi, alongside various Indigenous artists.
