Montreal supporters suspend activities to protest Saputo management
The organized supporter group 1642MTL has announced an immediate suspension of all support activities for CF Montreal for the remainder of the season. The decision follows prolonged dissatisfaction with the club's management and poor sporting results.
Supporters cited a series of failures both on and off the pitch over the last two to three years. Key grievances include the team's current position at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and controversial logistical decisions, such as the forced relocation of fans from section 114 to section 133 of the stadium.
The group expressed that the accumulation of these issues has forced them to question their commitment to the club and the future of 1642MTL itself. The protest highlights a growing rift between the Saputo ownership and the local community.
