Monza and Brianza Province awards 2026 Beato Talamoni Prize

The Province of Monza and Brianza has awarded the 2026 Beato Talamoni Prize, its highest honor, to several recipients.

Moto Club Lazzate and its president, Donato Monti, received the award in recognition of the club’s 70 years of activity. The organization was cited for its role in developing motorcycling in the Brianza region and promoting sports values through trial disciplines.

Additionally, an honorary plaque was awarded posthumously to Umberto Bossi. His son, Renzo Bossi, accepted the recognition, which honors Bossi’s political role in the establishment of the Province of Monza and Brianza. The award highlights his contributions during his tenure as Minister for Institutional Reforms and Devolution, specifically regarding the legislative processes that led to the territory's administrative autonomy in 2004.
