Monza Circuit expands ‘Bosco dei Piloti’ with 22 new trees

The Autodromo Nazionale Monza has expanded its ‘Bosco dei Piloti’ (Drivers’ Grove) with the planting of 22 new trees, one for each driver participating in the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2026. This initiative, now in its fourth year, aims to promote environmental sustainability and biodiversity at the circuit.

The project is a collaboration between the Automobile Club d’Italia and the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, supported by the Carabinieri’s Forestry, Environmental, and Agroalimentary Unit. It is part of the national environmental education program ‘Un albero per il futuro’. The new plantings include native species such as Acer campestre, Quercus ilex, Quercus cerris, and Fraxinus angustifolia, selected for their resilience to climate change.

The ceremony included attendees such as Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, Automobile Club d’Italia President Geronimo La Russa, and Monza Mayor Paolo Pilotto. This initiative contributes to a broader national effort that has seen over 50,000 trees planted across Italy through institutional and local cooperation.
