Monza Circuit honors driver Lodovico Scarfiotti
The Monza National Circuit has honored racing driver Lodovico Scarfiotti by dedicating its Race Direction offices to his memory. This tribute, organized by the Automobile Club Macerata in collaboration with ACI Nazionale and the Marche Region, marks the 60th anniversary of his historic victory at the 1966 Italian Grand Prix.
Scarfiotti holds the distinction of being the last Italian driver to win the Italian Grand Prix while driving a Ferrari. The ceremony included his son, Luigi Scarfiotti, who attended the unveiling of a permanent commemorative plaque. The recognition highlights Scarfiotti's deep ties to the Marche region and his enduring legacy in motorsport history.
