Monza Grand Prix fan celebrates 53 consecutive years of attendance
Gilberto Scontrini, a 65-year-old Ferrari enthusiast, has attended the Monza Grand Prix for 53 consecutive years. His passion for Formula 1 began in 1974, inspired by Niki Lauda’s victories with Ferrari.
Scontrini recalls his first experience at the circuit, accompanied by his father, and describes the venue as a ‘sacred place’ and a second home. Over five decades, he has witnessed significant changes in the sport, from the era of Clay Regazzoni to modern racing, maintaining his tradition of cycling to the event.
