Monza launches food waste initiative for primary school students

In celebration of World Food Day, the city of Monza is launching the ‘Portami con te’ initiative to combat food waste. In collaboration with Sodexo and the Municipality of Monza, reusable food bags will be distributed to over 4,000 students across 21 state primary schools.

The bags are designed to allow children to take home unconsumed food that remains safe at room temperature, such as fruit, bread, and packaged items. The project aims to educate students and their families on the value of food and promote responsible consumption habits from an early age.
