Monza to open 2026‑27 Serie A season against Inter as club leaders discuss league outlook

Monza chief executive Mauro Baldissoni said at the Serie A Festival in Parma that he would like his team’s debut to be at San Siro. The league calendar later confirmed that Monza will face Inter Milan in the opening match of the 2026‑27 Serie A season, echoing the clubs’ encounter in the previous campaign.

At the same event, commentator Giorgio Perinetti examined Juventus and Milan’s unexpected failure to qualify for the upcoming Champions League. He highlighted the high turnover of coaches in Serie A, a lack of long‑term planning, and the need for Milan to establish a stable technical structure. Perinetti also mentioned former national team coaches Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini as possible candidates for the Italy job.
