Monzón approves 2027 fiscal ordinances

The Monzón City Council has approved the fiscal ordinances for 2027. The decision passed with abstentions from Vox and opposition from PSOE and Cambiar.

Councilwoman for Finance Marta Montaner stated that the municipality has not increased its main municipal taxes for seven years. She noted that the Property Tax (IBI) and vehicle circulation tax rates remain at 2019 levels. Montaner emphasized that the administration aims to increase investment and reduce municipal debt without raising tax rates for families and businesses.

Montaner contrasted local policy with the central government, citing data regarding national tax and social security increases since 2018. She argued that the local administration focuses on keeping money in the pockets of citizens through better management of public funds.
