Moomin: Midsummer Madness set for autumn 2026 release

Shochiku Games and developer Crossbridge Game Studios have announced that the point-and-click adventure game "Moomin: Midsummer Madness" is scheduled for release in autumn 2026. The title will be available on PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Inspired by the works of Tove Jansson, the game features hand-drawn graphics and follows Moomintroll and Little My as they navigate a mysterious theater following a flood in Moomin Valley. The gameplay focuses on exploration, light puzzles, and mini-games designed to be accessible to all ages, including an integrated hint system.

For Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 users, both digital and physical versions will be released simultaneously. The announcement coincided with "Moomin Day" on August 9th, which celebrates the creator's birthday.
