Moomin: Moominvalley Summer Festival set for November 2026 release

Shochiku Games has announced that the point-and-click adventure game ‘Moomin: Moominvalley Summer Festival’ is scheduled for release on November 12, 2026. Developed by the France-based Crossbridge Game Studios, the title is inspired by Tove Jansson’s classic novels.

The game will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The narrative follows Moomintroll and Little My as they navigate a mysterious theater after a sudden flood hits Moominvalley. The gameplay features hand-drawn art inspired by Jansson’s original illustrations, blending faithful recreations of iconic scenes with original adventures.

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 physical editions began on August 21. Various editions are available, including a limited edition priced at 10,120 yen, which includes items such as a postcard book, an embroidered handkerchief, and a mesh pouch. The Steam version is priced at 2,300 yen, while digital versions for Nintendo consoles will cost 2,550 yen.
