Moon enters Last Quarter phase on November 1, 2026

On November 1, 2026, the Moon reaches its Last Quarter phase, also referred to as the Third Quarter. During this stage of the lunar cycle, approximately half of the Moon's visible surface is illuminated as it moves toward the next New Moon.

Observers may be able to see features such as the Tycho, Kepler, and Mare Imbrium craters with the naked eye. Using binoculars or telescopes can reveal additional details, including the Alphonsus and Clavius craters, the Mare Humorum, and the Apollo 14 and 15 landing sites.
