Seasonal Mid-Autumn and autumn festivals held across Japan and New York
Various cultural and seasonal events are being held across Japan and the United States to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the autumn season.
In Japan, Pancho is launching a limited-time “Three-Cheese Moon Viewing” napolitan spaghetti topping on September 16. Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro is hosting a “Moon Viewing Gourmet & Sweets” event through September 30, featuring themed desserts and savory dishes. In Kanazawa, Kanazawa M’za will hold the 61st Hokkaido Product Fair starting September 16, showcasing seafood, meat, and sweets from Hokkaido.
In Chiba, the facility “O furo cafe Karin no Yu” will host a celestial observation event on September 25, allowing guests to view the Mid-Autumn moon from a sauna garden. Meanwhile, Ota City in Gunma is preparing for the 2026 Ota Sports and Recreation Festival in late October.
In the United States, the 11th New Century Moon Festival will take place in Deerpark, New York, from September 19 to 20. As the largest Asian food and culture festival in the Hudson Valley, it will feature traditional Chinese culture, performances, and various Asian cuisines.
