Moon Geun-young announces surprise marriage and joins SBS’s ‘Our Ballad 2’

South Korean actress Moon Geun‑young confirmed a secret marriage to musical theatre actor Jung‑pyeong, saying the ceremony was a quiet family dinner with no public wedding. She posted a handwritten letter on Instagram, thanking fans for the overwhelming support and describing the experience as "my heart is full."

Soon after the announcement, Moon was confirmed as a member of the Top 100 jury for SBS’s upcoming audition program “Our Ballad 2,” marking her first appearance as a “Top 100 representative.” The show, whose first season topped view‑ership charts and achieved over 100 million online streams, will resume filming in August with a three‑fold increase in applicants. Moon expressed enthusiasm for contributing her empathy to the contestants and looked forward to the new challenge.

The actress, known as “the nation’s sister,” also reflected on her recovery from a serious health condition in 2017 and thanked supporters for helping her move into the next chapter of her life and career.
