MOONDROP announces CHU3 in-ear monitors for August 27 release

MOONDROP has announced the release of the CHU3, the third generation of its popular ‘Chu’ series in-ear monitors, scheduled for August 27. The entry-level earphones are priced at 4,950 yen and will be available in black and silver.

The CHU3 features a redesigned driver structure and manufacturing process, including a 10mm dynamic driver with an Al-Mg alloy composite diaphragm and an N52 neodymium magnet with a magnetic flux density exceeding 1.5T. The device utilizes a large-diameter brass CNC nozzle to control standing waves and reduce volume errors.

For acoustic tuning, the company employed the B&K 5128 reference-grade measurement system to ensure high-fidelity sound suitable for music, video, and e-sports. The earphones feature a durable zinc alloy die-cast housing and a 0.78mm 2-pin detachable connector for customization. The product recently received both the ‘Cost-Performance Award’ and the ‘Gold Award’ at the VGP2026 SUMMER lifestyle category.
