Yogi Adityanath announces India's first AI city in Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been active across several political and developmental fronts. In Lucknow, he announced plans to develop India’s first artificial intelligence (AI) city to foster a local tech ecosystem. He also met with Moonlit Infra founder Monu Chauhan to discuss infrastructure and urban growth in Ayodhya, specifically regarding the Dasarath Path project.
In Varanasi, Adityanath inaugurated the Abe Memorial Corridor, a tribute to former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe intended to strengthen India-Japan diplomatic and technological ties. He also received social media attention for encouraging a nervous speaker during an HCL IT City event.
On the political front, Adityanath commented on the recent Rajya Sabha elections, suggesting they indicate an ‘80-20’ split between the NDA and the Samajwadi Party-led PDA, which he believes sets the tone for the 2027 Assembly polls. Meanwhile, BJP national president Nitin Nabin criticized Rahul Gandhi and the Opposition for protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, labeling their actions as having an ‘anarchist mindset’.
These events occurred amidst celebrations marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.
