China accelerates AI dominance in military and commercial sectors

China is significantly accelerating its development and deployment of artificial intelligence across both civilian and military sectors. In the technology industry, companies such as Alibaba, Baidu, and Moonshot AI are producing advanced open-source models capable of complex tasks, including code generation, video synthesis, and real-time interaction.

This technological push extends to military modernization. The Chinese government and the People's Liberation Army are integrating AI, unmanned systems, and intelligent networks to enhance combat capabilities and decision-making speed. Military-specific large language models, such as the Tianji system, are already being utilized for logistics, mission planning, and intelligence analysis.

Economically, Chinese firms are challenging the established Silicon Valley model by producing high-quality AI tools at lower costs. This expansion is also visible in the automotive sector, where Chinese manufacturers like BYD, Geely, and Chery are capturing significant global market share, particularly in the electric and hybrid vehicle segments.
