Lede and Belgian cities host cultural and brewing heritage events

In Lede, Belgium, the Expo Santé exhibition will showcase the history of local brewing and social life. Starting September 3, the event at the Lede town hall will feature artifacts from the former Brouwerij Jooris, including original beer glasses, labels, and historical advertisements. The exhibition aims to highlight the role of breweries and public cafés as essential social meeting points in the Denderland region.

In Belgium, several cultural events are scheduled for the upcoming weekend. Antwerp will host an open day for the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, featuring free activities such as dance workshops and symphonic concerts. Meanwhile, Sint-Niklaas will hold the Vredefeesten, which is notable for its large-scale hot air balloon displays and a ‘Lantern Balloon Ballet’ set to music. The musical lineup includes a performance by Hooverphonic.
