MoraBanc Andorra signs Georgian guard Rati Andronikashvili
MoraBanc Andorra has signed Georgian international guard Rati Andronikashvili on a two-month temporary contract to strengthen the team's backcourt. The 25-year-old, standing 1.94 meters tall, joins the club as a ‘formative player’ (jugador de formació), a move intended to manage the workload of the current guards and capitalize on an unexpected market opportunity.
Andronikashvili brings significant experience from the Spanish Liga Endesa, having previously played for UCAM Murcia and Casademont Zaragoza, as well as the Primera FEB with Monbus Obradoiro. He also recently competed in the Icelandic league with UMF Alftanes.
Sports director Jordi Ardèvol described the signing as a timely addition following Andronikashvili’s strong performances with the Georgian national team during recent FIBA windows. The guard has been an international player since 2018 and recently recorded a 20-point performance against Portugal.
