Moradabad candle factory blaze prompts emergency response in Uttar Pradesh

A major fire erupted in the early hours of August 1 at a candle factory in Krishna Colony, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Firefighters and emergency services were dispatched to the site and are working to contain the blaze. No casualties have been reported so far, and authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

The incident follows a series of recent industrial accidents in the state, including a July 25 explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Kunda Basi village, Saharanpur district, that killed two workers, and an ammonia gas leak at a meat‑processing plant in Saharanpur that hospitalized 14 women. Officials have pledged thorough probes into each event to determine safety lapses and prevent further incidents.
