Morales resident targeted in attempted home burglary

A thief attempted to break into a residence in the Villa Hermosa sector of Morales during the early morning hours. Security footage captured the individual using a ladder to scale a perimeter fence and enter the property near the Santa Anita market.

After entering through a first-floor window, the intruder moved through various rooms and attempted to reach the second floor. The attempt was thwarted when sensor-activated lights turned on as the individual approached the stairs, causing them to retreat. The homeowner was reportedly resting on the second level at the time.

The suspect remained inside the house for several minutes before exiting using the same ladder and fleeing the scene. This incident has caused concern among local residents, as other similar attempted break-ins were reported in the same area during the same night, with neighbors in one instance confronting suspects who abandoned their ladder.
