Morano Calabro hosts Gulìa Urbana street‑art festival
From 3 to 8 August 2026 the town of Morano Calabro in southern Italy will host a new edition of Gulìa Urbana, a project that uses contemporary street art to regenerate public spaces and foster community dialogue. The initiative, promoted by the municipal administration, aims to turn the historic centre into a permanent laboratory of culture, social innovation and citizen participation. Mayor Mario Donadio and councilor Giuseppe Feoli highlighted the role of culture in attracting new opportunities, strengthening local identity and engaging younger generations.
The programme includes a workplace‑safety meeting on 4 August, organized with Formedil Cosenza, and artistic interventions by street‑artists Etsom and Attorrep, whose works will become part of the town’s visual heritage. The edition’s slogan, “Abitare è essere ovunque a casa propria”, reflects the goal of creating inclusive, future‑oriented public spaces while preserving Morano Calabro’s historic character.
