Morata transfer drives massive commercial growth for Leganés

The transfer of Álvaro Morata to Leganés has generated significant economic and social impact for the club. Following the announcement, Leganés saw a surge of 20,000 new social media followers, primarily from abroad, and video views approaching 20 million within 72 hours. The club reported that season ticket sales multiplied sixfold compared to normal campaign days, and 25% of the total summer jersey sales were achieved in just four days following the signing.

Iván Maroto, Leganés Business Director, noted that while existing contracts will not be renegotiated, the signing strengthens the club's image for sponsors and opens opportunities for new commercial partnerships. This growth aligns with the recent consolidation of the club's new ownership by 885 Capital.

Separately, the transfer of player Espí is providing a substantial financial boost to Llevant, estimated at 25 million euros. This influx of capital is viewed as vital for the club's financial viability and highlights the importance of the club's youth academy as a primary revenue source, despite ongoing challenges regarding infrastructure investments in Natzaret.
