Moravian Museum opens exhibition on post-WWI unrest
A new exhibition titled ‘Slovácko sa búří – Neklidná léta 1918 až 1920 na rozcestí střední Evropy’ is opening at the Dietrichstein Palace. Curated by historian Lukáš Lexa, the exhibit explores the turbulent period following World War I, focusing on the social unrest, violence, and daily life in Central Europe during the formation of Czechoslovakia.
Because visual evidence of group violence from this era is scarce, the exhibition utilizes artistic recreations, figurines, and dioramas to illustrate historical events. The exhibit also features a database of soldiers from the Slovácko Brigade, allowing visitors to research the military service of their ancestors.
