Roseto degli Abruzzi completes asbestos cleanup and launches public works

Roseto degli Abruzzi has completed a significant environmental remediation project at the ex Piccionaia site in Colle Magnone. The municipal administration invested 120,000 euros to address decades of environmental degradation and safety risks. The project, executed by the firm Mantini, involved the collection, securing, and disposal of asbestos and other waste that had turned the area into an unofficial landfill.

In addition to the environmental cleanup, the municipality is advancing several public works. This includes the inauguration of a renovated multi-purpose sports field in Voltarrosto, funded with 26,000 euros. The local government has also announced a large-scale road maintenance plan involving investments exceeding one million euros, alongside upcoming improvements to school facilities, such as the new canteen at the Santa Petronilla school.
