Morefun Studios announces Roco Kingdom beta test and Tokyo media event
Morefun Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, held a media presentation and hands-on event in Tokyo for its new open-world monster-collection RPG, ‘Roco Kingdom’. The game is a new title based on an intellectual property that has existed in China for over 16 years and has reached over 350 million cumulative registered players.
Set on the Calosia continent, the game features more than 400 types of creatures known as ‘Jini’ that players can discover, collect, and train. The title emphasizes an immersive open world with dynamic weather and time cycles, alongside a turn-based battle system designed to prioritize player strategy and skill over pay-to-win mechanics.
A global closed beta test is scheduled to begin on October 27, 2026. The Tokyo event featured voice actors KENN and Aiba Aina, who provided live demonstrations of the game's character dialogue.
